I have enjoyed working closely with the passionate team of wildlife protectors at the National Wildlife Federation for over 4 years, managing their visual brand across multiple websites and offline channels. The following is just a small sampling of the work I have had a role in executing and/or directing.
National Wildlife Week
Each year National Wildlife Week connects budding conservationists of all ages to the wonders of wildlife. The history of National Wildlife Week dates back to its first celebration in 1938.
In 2020, we helped develop an identity that would be used across the many assets created as part of the Week’s activities. I created the logo mark that was chosen and helped define develop the visual identity for the campaign.
I helped our team with design work and art direction on a number of materials that were to be used as part of National Wildlife Week. These items included: a food truck wrap design for the Week’s mobile tour across America, designs for supporting materials like cups/napkins, and a microsite used to promote the Week and its activities.
Great American Campout (Annual Campaign)
Every year NWF encourages us all to get outside and connect with nature through their Great American Campout campaign. I was grateful to have created the concept chosen for the 2017 campaign. This design was used in a national ad campaign that appeared in Time magazine, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes magazine. It was also used in online promotions of the campaign, such as the Great American Campout microsite that we helped build to gather pledges and fundraising to protect our nation’s wildlife.
Find the Birds
I had the joy of getting to work on a GoFundMe campaign that was a partnership between NWF and a young birdwatcher and nature photographer named Adam Dhalla. Working with Adam and a videography team from Seattle, WA, I worked on all the post production for the campaign’s promotional video.
On-going Work
Over the past several years, the relationship we have built with the National Wildlife Federation has led them to utilize us as trusted in-house designers and art directors. I have had the joy of working on a wide breadth of projects for them, including: microsites, package design, merchandise, campaign design, signage, technical reports, gala/awards materials, fundraising materials, corporate collateral, annual reports, product development, and more.
