I have had the privilege of working with Design Army, an innovative design agency in DC, for over 4 years. Working on an average of 6 to 8 projects with them each year, my role is most often that of Design Director as we take their designs into development. In addition, I have served in the role of information architect, UX consultant, content strategist, and client relations.
Working with Design Army has given me the chance to work with different designers in an entirely different client space, as the bulk of their clientele are in the commercial or retail industries.
As Design Director, I will often be responsible for UX/IA consultation, requirements analysis and technical specifications, leading discussions with 3rd-party vendors whose applications/APIs must be integrated into the website, leading the prototyping phase, directing our development team on both the front and back end, providing project management, and managing client communication and training.
